Speckled Wood is the nearest open space to Ore Village and the top of Ore Valley. The woodland and valley are currently unprotected and a large area was designated for housing development 20 years ago.
Now there are definite planning options for protecting areas of land as urban green space. Find out more and have your say.
The free Workshops are being organised by the Hastings Urban Design Group to discuss ideas for how Speckled Wood can be enhanced for community use and to talk about broader planning and regeneration issues for the Ore Valley. You can help to develop a community plan for Speckled Wood and Ore.
