You may have lived in Ore Village many years or have just moved in and would like to help shape its regeneration or you may have special expertise that would help shape our thinking or practical skills that would help keep our practical projects moving in the right direction. We are especially keen to work with young people and local schools to help us develop ideas.
Sadly, there has also been some unhelpful activity to undermine some of our clearance work – rubbish is still being dumped in the woodland, cleared wood is regularly thrown back into the stream and some steps were dug up. We will not allow the anti-social actions of a few people get in the way of the objective of opening up (and keeping open) the Speckled Wood footpaths and woodland for community use, as this is the most effective way of preventing the loss of this valuable green space to development.

There is much more to do, both to keep the stream and footpaths clear, remove rubbish and undertake conservation work to the woodland. Conservation and woodland work training sessions have been organised in the past. Volunteer working parties are organised on selected Saturday mornings from 10.00am.
